What you get

A practical shortlist from your facility inputs — not another robotics blog.

  • Two jobs, two matchers

Home robots and business robots are scored separately so a Roomba never ranks next to a warehouse AMR.

  • Shortlist from your constraints

Floors, pets, and budget at home. Facility size, labor, and acquisition model at work.

  • See why it ranked

Rules and public specs, with why / why-not notes. Affiliate and sponsored links are disclosed.

How matching works

  1. Step 1

    Pick home or business

Home robots start with vacuums (more categories later). Business is warehouse, commercial cleaning, or restaurant — never mixed in one wizard.

  2. Step 2

    Answer a few questions

Home: floors, pets, mop, budget. Business: pain point, labor, layout, and buy vs lease vs RaaS preference.

  3. Step 3

    Get scored options

Use-case 45%, economic 35%, deployment 20%. Then ranked models (home) or robot types and vendors (business).

Shortlist robots that fit your space.

Rules and specs  not vendor hype.

Common questions

Is PickTheRobot for homes or businesses?

Both, as two separate tracks. Home is robot vacuums matched to floors, pets, mopping, and budget. Business is warehouse, commercial cleaning, and restaurant robots — type, buy vs lease vs RaaS, and vendors. The wizards are not mixed.

How does PickTheRobot choose a robot?

We use a rules-based engine that scores options on use-case fit, economic fit, and deployment fit from your answers. There is no black-box AI — the logic is deterministic and transparent.

Are robot vacuum rankings based on lab tests?

No. Home results match public specs to your constraints. We are not RTINGS or Vacuum Wars. Confirm price, firmware, and reviews before you buy. Some product links may be affiliates.

Does this replace talking to vendors?

No. The business matcher narrows robot types and vendors, then links you to official sites. You still validate pricing, demos, and contracts directly.

What business categories are supported?

Warehouse, commercial cleaning, and restaurant robots. Each category has its own questions and robot types. Home robot vacuums use a separate catalog of product models.

How long does a matcher take?

Most people finish in under two minutes. Pick a track, answer a short wizard, and get scored results immediately in the browser.

Do I need an account or email?

No. Matchers run in your browser without signup. Share links encode answers in the URL if you want to send results to someone else.

Are rankings paid?

Fit comes first. Sponsored business vendors are disclosed and only boost listings that already match your profile. Home product links may be affiliates; that does not change the score.
